Handmade Natural Soap

My Story:

In an effort to live a healthier and more self-reliant life, one skill I wanted to develop was soap-making. I was motivated also by the desire to reduce the use of synthetic chemicals in my skin and hair products, as well as reducing my household waste. I especially wanted to focus on natural ingredients that provide a multitude of benefits without the problems associated with synthetic materials.

As I began using my homemade soaps, I was amazed at the difference between them versus traditional store-bought bar soaps I'd previously used. My skin felt clean and nourished without becoming dry. As I shared my soaps with family and friends, interest continued to grow and I realized I had something valuable to offer others. Now I want to offer them to you!

The Difference Is In The Details:

Each of my natural soaps are made by hand in my kitchen using the most nourishing natural ingredients available to me. I work in small batches to ensure careful attention is given to each step of the process. I infuse many of the oils with organically grown plants and herbs (including roses, basil, dandelion, and rosemary) harvested from my very own garden and chosen specifically to impart the various beneficial properties that occur naturally in each plant. I use only natural colorants such as hand-ground lemon and orange peel, brewed teas, fruit and vegetable purees and juices, and various clay powders. Many of my soaps contain natural exfoliants, including powdered oatmeal, poppyseeds, and finely ground coffee beans.
